WXYC is hiring Summer DJs! 🐚 WXYC Chapel Hill 89.3FM is the student-run, freeform radio station broadcasting 24/7 from the student union. 

We are looking for a group of passionate new DJs who are eager to share their love of music with the communities of Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and beyond. Host your own radio show, discover new music, engage with the local community, and become a part of WXYC’s history! Check out more info on our Instagram, @wxyc893.

Interviews: Wednesday May 21st through Thursday May 22nd at the WXYC Station in the Student Union. Virtual options available.

Some Frequently Asked Questions:

• I won't be here over the whole summer/I'm going away. Can I still apply?
  • Yes, you can! We have a remote DJ option if you're away from Chapel Hill and have a covers system if you can't make a shift on a certain date.
• Is this a commitment that lasts past the summer?
  • Your DJ shift is only required through the summer semester, but we highly encourage you to sign up for a show during the school year and continue to stay involved with XYC.
• I'm not going to be in town for interviews. Can I still apply?
  • ​​​​​​​Yes, you can! In the signup genius, just add a note that you'll be virtual. If the dates don't work, send me a message and we can find another time to interview.
• Help! I don't know how to DJ!
  • ​​​​​​​No experience is required, just a love of music and exploration.
