About this Event
100 Library Drive Chapel Hill, NC
http://tarheels.live/uncpda/news/research-cafe/Human bodies are composed of complex physiological architecture to support survival, including a beating heart and a dynamic immune system. This same architecture also undergirds our everyday emotional lives, affecting how we infer each other’s emotional states and sense that our feelings are “shared” in a given moment. In this talk, Dr. Mallory Feldman will share the science of the body’s role in emotional experience, and Dr. Catherine Berman will discuss when and how co-experienced emotions (particularly positive emotions) may shape well-being, including in fleeting social interactions. Join us on Tuesday, February 24, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the Chapel Hill Public Library. We will serve light refreshments during the talk. This event is made possible with the support of UNC Carolina Seminars.
