DESCRIPTION:Across disciplines\, systematic reviews are used commonly to in
 form policy and practice. This course is designed for researchers\, clinic
 ians\, and others who want to conduct systematic reviews or to be more inf
 ormed users of systematic reviews.\n\nIn this course\, students will learn
  to frame an answerable research question and to write a protocol for a re
 view. Students will learn to develop inclusion and exclusion criteria\, co
 nduct an electronic search for studies\, screen studies for inclusion\, co
 llect data\, and plan for synthesizing results using meta-analysis and oth
 er approaches. The course will focus on systematic reviews of intervention
 s (e.g.\, behavioral and medical) but will also introduce students to rela
 ted review methods (e.g.\, scoping reviews\, overviews of reviews) and top
 ics (e.g.\, diagnostic tests).
