Lymphatic vessels run parallel with blood vessels in our body and are critical for maintaining our health. For centuries, the lymphatic system has been overlooked and understudied. Yet, lymphatic diseases, such as lymphedema, affect hundreds of millions of people worldwide without effective treatment options.  In this talk, Drs. Yanna Tian and Laszlo Balint provide insight into the most recent discoveries in lymphatic research and how a better understanding of the lymphatic vasculature may propel the development of groundbreaking novel therapies. Join us on Tuesday, September 16th, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the Chapel Hill Public Library. We will serve light refreshments during the talk. This event is made possible with the support of UNC Carolina Seminars.
