UNC School of Law Professor, Tom Kelley, will present about the basics of nonprofit law. Participants will learn about and discuss topics including whether it makes sense to form a new nonprofit organization; what the nonprofit formation process is like; and in non-lawyer language, what state and federal laws do nonprofit organization have to follow? There will be time for questions and discussion with the audience, along with an opportunity to learn more about how the School of Law connects with nonprofit organizations.
