New Student Convocation is the official ceremony that inducts new first years into the Class of 2027 and new transfers into their respective classes. See student performances and hear from University leadership like the Chancellor, Student Body President, and more. Each Convocation features a young alum as the keynote speaker.

On-campus students should plan to meet up with their RAs and floormates and walk to the event together.

Accessible Seating in The Dean Dome: In terms of mobility concerns, and access to the event itself, we will have accessible routes to get into the Dean Dome (all students will go in Entry A), and there will be spaces/sections for students using wheelchairs, or other devices that aid mobility. There will also be space for companions to sit with folding chairs, in those spaces.

Transportation to/from The Dean Dome:

P2P On-Demand has P2P Accessibility transportation during certain times (9am-5pm on Sundays). P2P Vans are equipped with wheelchair lifts. Learn more on how to use this at: unc.edu/p2p/on-demand

The Bus will have “U Route” on a digital sign on the front/top of the bus.

You can get on the bus at any bus stop on the U Route.
