About this Event
Grief is often associated with death, but loss takes many forms—shifts in identity, changing roles, unmet expectations, and the quiet disappointments that shape our lives. Led jointly by a faculty member and a campus chaplain, this session integrates research-based insights with reflective and compassionate practices.
Designed to support both personal reflection and broader community impact, the seminar will offer practical tools for navigating grief individually and strategies for integrating these concepts into community spaces. Participants will examine how grief influences identity, relationships, and sense of purpose, while considering how individuals can honor what has been lost while remaining open to growth and change. You will leave with a deeper understanding of grief as a shared human experience—and with approaches for fostering compassion, resilience, and continuity in times of change.
