 nd decentralized research\, where trust and authenticity are critical\, po
 orly aligned design choices can unintentionally attract insincere particip
 ants while deterring the very individuals a study aims to reach.\n\n \n\nT
 his session explores how recruitment materials function as signals\, influ
 encing perceptions of legitimacy\, eligibility\, and risk. Through real-wo
 rld case examples and interactive discussion\, participants will examine h
 ow design elements—such as language\, compensation framing\, and screeni
 ng structure—can create vulnerability to misrepresentation. Attendees wi
