DESCRIPTION:The newly established UNC Institute for Risk Management and Ins
 urance Innovation (IRMII) is pleased to offer four new courses that will s
 erve the proposed new minor in risk management. While final approval for t
 he minor is pending (a decision should be made very shortly)\, students ca
 n enroll in the four new courses in spring 2025 in preparation for its lau
 nch. The minor will equip students with high-level analytical skills and s
 pecialized knowledge in assessing risk and designing new tools to manage e
 merging risks\, such as extreme weather events\, pandemics and cybersecuri
 ty breaches\, that will be vital to addressing society’s growing risk ma
 nagement challenges.\n\n \n\nAn informational session related to both the 
 courses and the minor will be held on Wednesday\, Oct. 2 at 6 p.m. in the 
 Rosenau Auditorium (room 133) at the Gillings School of Global Public Heal
 th. The session will feature a short presentation\, Q&A and catering from 
 Mediterranean Deli. To help us gauge the food order\, please RSVP to Deb S
