About this Event
View mapShort-term service-learning programs can meaningfully shape relationships between Carolina students and the larger Triangle community. This interactive event introduces the initiative Expeditions. Expeditions are day-long service-learning experiences grounded in community needs, hosted by APPLES Service-Learning. Through curated stories, photographs, and a community partner panel, participants will learn about the program and understand how short-term experiences can build long-term partnerships between community partners and the university. The session encourages attendees to reflect on sustainable approaches to service and the possibilities that emerge when university and community partners learn alongside one another.
