About this Event
125 Mason Farm Road Chapel Hill, NC,
https://tarheels.live/aatb/We are excited to invite you to our fourth meeting of Art and the Brain that will take place on December 5th from 6-7:30pm, with the option to attend in person (Marsico Hall, 6004) and on Zoom! We will have an open panel discussion around painting and the brain, grounded in a discussion of hemineglect (damage to one hemisphere of the brain) and the works of artists who lived with hemineglect. This seminar will focus on fostering new discussion about the intersection of science and art, and question how artistic analysis expands our scientific understanding of neurological disorders. The meeting schedule below includes more information regarding the event's structure and relevant literature. You can also find the seminar syllabus attached to this email. Specific expertise in hemineglect or art history is not necessary: bring your own experiences and knowledge!
