As UNC-Chapel Hill faculty, staff, and students, we know the incredible work happening here. But most North Carolinians don’t – and they’re rarely thinking about us. How do we bridge that gap to engage communities effectively?

This interactive session helps participants step outside the Chapel Hill bubble to craft messaging that resonates statewide. Using the Zietlow Fellowship as an example, we’ll explore UNC’s role as one partner among many while workshopping clear, compelling pitches for both community audiences and potential funders. You’ll leave with practical tools to tell your story authentically, build trust beyond campus, and demonstrate impact that matters across North Carolina.
