Ambassador Taylor brings decades of high-level diplomatic experience, having served as:

  • U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine (2006–2009)
  • Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv (2019–2020)
  • Distinguished Fellow at the Atlantic Council
  • Vice President, Europe and Russia, at the U.S. Institute of Peace
  • Special Coordinator for Middle East Transitions during the Arab Spring
  • U.S. Government Representative to the Mideast Quartet
  • Director of the Iraq Reconstruction Management Office
  • Coordinator of U.S. assistance to Afghanistan
  • Coordinator of U.S. assistance to the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe

A graduate of West Point and Harvard’s Kennedy School, Ambassador Taylor served as an infantry officer in Vietnam and Germany before embarking on a diplomatic career of extraordinary breadth. His leadership in critical regions—including Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel, and Ukraine—gives him a uniquely valuable perspective on global affairs and international security.
